How to authorize Google Sheets

Connect your Google account so Replyk can read your spreadsheets on your behalf. The process takes about 30 seconds.

Before you start

  • You need a Google account that has access to the target spreadsheet.
  • Pop-ups must be allowed for replyk.io in your browser (the OAuth window is a redirect, not a pop-up).
  • You must be logged in to Replyk.

Step-by-step

1

Go to Business → Apps tab

Open your business settings and click the Apps tab. You will see the Google Sheets section at the top.

2

Click "Connect Google account"

The button is in the top-right of the Google Sheets card. Clicking it redirects you to Google's OAuth consent screen.

3

Choose the Google account

Select the Google account that owns (or has read access to) the spreadsheet you want to connect. You can connect multiple Google accounts if your sheets are spread across different accounts.

If you manage sheets for several clients, you can connect each client's Google account separately and assign each connection to the right account.
4

Click "Continue" on the Google consent screen

Replyk can only access the specific spreadsheets you pick — it never sees the rest of your Google Drive, and it only reads the sheets you choose.

Keep the Google Drive files permission checked on the consent screen — without it, Replyk cannot read the spreadsheets you pick.
The permission requested is limited to files you pick: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
5

You're redirected back to Replyk

After granting access you are redirected to Business → Apps. You should see your Google account listed under Connected Google accounts.

6

Pick your spreadsheet in the connection wizard

When you create a sheet connection, a Google window opens where you choose the spreadsheet. Only the sheets you pick there become visible to Replyk.

Troubleshooting

I see "Access blocked" on the Google screen.

The Replyk app may not yet be verified by Google for your organization. Click "Advanced" then "Go to Replyk (unsafe)" to proceed. Enterprise customers can contact support to whitelist the app.

I authorized but the account doesn't appear.

Wait a few seconds and refresh the Apps tab. If it still doesn't appear, try disconnecting any existing account with the same email and re-authorizing.

The account shows an error badge.

Your OAuth token may have expired or been revoked. Delete the account and re-authorize to get a fresh token.

Can I connect more than one Google account?

Yes. Click "Connect Google account" again and authorize with a different Google account. Each connection wizard lets you pick which account to use.

Security

Replyk stores your OAuth tokens encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Tokens are never exposed in API responses. Disconnecting an account from the Apps tab automatically revokes Replyk's access with Google. You can also review or revoke it anytime in your Google Account permissions.
