Column mapping

Column mapping

Mapping tells Replyk which column in your spreadsheet holds each piece of customer data. Only the Phone column is required — the AI Agent will ask for anything else during the conversation.

Order fields

For each field below you pick the column header from your sheet (or leave it unmapped).

Column matching uses the exact header name from row 1 of your sheet (trimmed, but case-sensitive in the picker). Make sure your headers are clean — e.g. "Phone" not " Phone " with surrounding spaces.

Phone number format

Replyk normalizes phone numbers automatically using your business country as the default country code. The following formats are all accepted for a Moroccan number:

+212600000001
0600000001
212600000001
600000001
Numbers that cannot be parsed are not dropped — a draft order is created with status Human Verification Needed so you can review them manually.

Template variables

If your WhatsApp template contains dynamic variables (for example, a placeholder for the customer name), you can map each variable to a sheet column. The variable index corresponds to its position in your approved template.

Example: if your template greets the customer by name and then confirms their product, map variable 1 to the Name column and variable 2 to the Product column.

Unmapped template variables are sent as empty strings. The message will still be delivered — the AI Agent can then fill in missing details during the conversation.

What the AI Agent fills in

Any unmapped order field (name, address, city, etc.) becomes an open question for the AI Agent to ask the customer during the WhatsApp conversation. The order is then updated automatically as the customer replies.

This means you can create a connection with only the Phone column mapped and let the Agent handle the rest — ideal when your leads only provide a phone number.
